Primal Forests - Ancient Trees

The Exploration, Preservation, Spirit, and Aesthetics of Nature

I've lived at the same location for 30 years, and as a nurseryman and avid plantsman, I've accumulated a a varied collection of trees and shrubs. I finally made an inventory, and thought some might find the list interesting.

Wow , you have tons of trees on your property! Steve, I am going to put the entire collection before God's Throne so that He will preserve them and keep them from harm for future generations to come .

God Bless you and have a Beautiful Thanksgiving.

There are several that I like. One favorite shrub is the Anthony Waterer Spiraea. Just planted a half dozen here right after we moved to this house last June. You ever tried Chitalpa? I had never seen nor heard of it, until I saw a nice one in Beaverton one day. Took a twig to a nursery, and a hispanic worker who had been in CA, told me what it was. While in southern Oregon the past 3 years, I noticed it was becoming popular there. It's growing on me. The Kalmia on your list is probably one I should strongly consider from the narrow strip on our homes east side.
