Primal Forests - Ancient Trees

The Exploration, Preservation, Spirit, and Aesthetics of Nature

Primal Forests is a forum for those interested in the ties between people and the aesthetics, spirit, and emotional aspects of forests and trees around the world. A place to discuss and promote the exploration, study, conservation, and documentation of ancient forests ad trees everywhere.

A sister organization to this one is the Eastern Native Tree Society (ENTS) http://www.nativetreesociety.org a cyberspace interest group devoted to the celebration of trees and forests of the eastern North America and around the world, through art, poetry, music, mythology, science, medicine, wood crafts, and collecting research data for a variety of purposes. ENTS is the premiere tree measuring group of the eastern forest. ENTS is a discussion forum for people who view trees and forests not just as a crop to be harvested, but also as something of value in their own right. Membership is open to people with an interest in tree living anywhere in the world.

I love every picture and artwork I have seen on this website. It was in my 6th grade year that I saw this one picture of a walking wizard. One Month in Maine

I am spending a rainy windy day in my apartment in Acadia National Park. This is the first day I've just gotten back to some of those personal, internal intellectual activities I am so into in the winter: blogging, posting to favorite online groups about trees and forests, reading.
